Remnants of the battle:

Operation Morgenwind I was a German amphibious landing on the island of Brač, carried out on 13 January 1944. The departure ports and assembly points of the German forces were the area of ​​Makarska, Baška Voda and Omiš. The units and air defenses that participated in the operation were deployed from Makarska.

The Allies did not directly prevent this landing. In fact:

* German forces successfully landed on Brač,
* Partisan forces, due to German superiority and after earlier losses, mostly withdrew towards Vis before the main attack

Ostaci bitke :

Operacija Morgenwind I bila je njemački amfibijski desant na otok Brač, izveden 13. siječnja 1944. Polazne luke i okupljališta njemačkih snaga bile su područje Makarske, Baške Vode i Omiša. Iz Makarske su bile raspoređene postrojbe i protuzračna obrana koje su sudjelovale u operaciji.

Saveznici nisu izravno spriječili taj desant. Zapravo:

* njemačke snage uspješno su se iskrcale na Brač,
* partizanske snage su se, zbog njemačke nadmoći i nakon ranijih gubitaka, uglavnom povukle prema Vis prije glavnog napada
